An off-shoot of critically acclaimed MANGO BLUE, Manguito (Little Mango) is a band that performs a variety of Latin music ranging from folkloric Afro-Latin music to Latin Jazz to Latin dance music including styles such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bolero, Cha-Cha-Cha and more. Manguito joins the talents of some of the best Latin music practitioners from the New England region in a variety of formats, ranging from Trio, suitable for corporate functions as background Latin Jazz and Latin music, to dance combos as small as a quartet and as big as an octet. Manguito has performed extensively in festivals, private and corporate parties, clubs and concert halls throughout New England and the New York Latin music scene. The music of Manguito includes a vast repertoire of "Old school", Latin dance music standards performed with Manguito's unique sound and contagious energy. Manguito also offers educational programs for schools K-12, as well as colleges and universities, offering a "musical voyage to the Caribbean" presented in a lecture-demonstration format, educational, interactive and highly entertaining.
