The Latin Party Boys The Latin Party Boys performs a wide salsa repertoire, featuring songs written mainly by Cuban, Puerto Rican and Dominican composers. Composers and ensembles whose hits are featured in the repertoire include Ruben Blades, Juan Luis Guerra, Eddie Palmieri, El Gran Combo, and La Sonora Poncena. The Party Boys has a repertoire which can suit either a background music event or a high-energy dance party. The Party Boys can also perform with different lineups, from a duet which can include piano and percussion (where both people sing), to a nonet where any combination of instruments is possible. BiographyEduardo Tancredi – Piano With vast experience conducting vocal groups, Eduardo has traveled extensively through Europe and Latin America during the 1980’s leading the Choral Group Upsala, a group that officially represented his native Uruguay. A graduate of Berklee College of Music and currently an Assistant Professor, Eduardo was a recipient of the Quincy Jones Award in 1991, 1992 and 1993. Also recipient of the Outstanding Latin Act 1991, 92, 94 and 1997, and nominated with group Sonabo for the Best of World Music from the Boston Phoenix. The Boston Music Awards and Boston Phoenix Music Awards have nominated Eduardo this year. Eduardo is been part of the Sophia’s Latin Band in Boston since its opening in June 1998. He is currently the keyboardist with the award-winning pan-Latin band, Sol y Canto. He is also the musical director of Sonabo, a Latin American Vocal Ensemble that tours regularly throughout the United States. Song ListsTraditional Latin Songs
